Currant is a global media collective paving a better food future. I have been the sole graphic designer, often taking on creative direction responsibilities since January 2021. My projects for Currant often include: email newsletter redesign, social media design and strategy, creating web assets, web design creative direction, and other assorted special projects in the digital design realm.
My goal when designing assets for Currant is to make each feature feel both special and distinctly unique, while still fitting in within the larger scope of the brand. I use consistent elements such as the gradient, hand-drawn illustrations, and bold, legible typography to link every feature and make them feel like a cohesive system. Speaking of legibility, accessibility is something that I bear in mind every time I create something for Currant and I consistently strive to make sure that our social media and site is as accessible as possible to everyone in our community.
