Some Words We Found
This book, made in a Creative Writing for Designers class at NYC-based graphic design studio and community space XXXI, includes essays written by myself and classmates. Every student paired up and worked to design the layout for the other’s essay. I paired up with designer Nick Sheeran and designed the layout for his essay “Anticloud,” and he designed the layout for my essay “Recipe for Frozen Fruit Salad.” “Anticloud” is a post-apocalyptic fiction piece about Cloud storage, spanning three different time periods: the present, near future, and far future. The typeface I used is called Redacted and grows increasingly more difficult to read, echoing the dark apocalyptic nature of the essay.
